Why invest in property, and in particular, US property?

  • Low cost of entry for Investors. For example our portfolios start at USD $250K and that buys an Investor 5,10 or more A grade properties in a major US city, whereas $250K in a comparable NZ city would struggle to buy the land just for a single property.
  • Good property can produce meaningful cash income (10, 15% or more), and unlike shares, finance company debentures or the like, property doesn't just vanish into thin air and leave an Investor with nothing.
  • The NZ dollar is at a 30yr high and the US property market a 30yr low, providing us with an unprecendented opportunity to buy A grade, high income earning property at record low prices (often 1/2 the previously recorded high)
  • US property can readily deliver safe net cash yields of 10, 15 or 20%, whereas comparable property in NZ, or Australia, struggles to even make 5% for investors.
  • There are still currently around 2 million mortgagee sales a year in the US providing strong rental demand and stable income for property investors.
